Great strings, but lacks breadth and fullness. Does not achieve the full potential of my dreadnought’s power.

I put these strings on my epiphone AJ. At first the strings are a bit bright, but when they break in the sound is terrific. I'm not a big fan of the phosphor/bronze strings, they're just to jangly for me. I mostly finger pick and these are the best sounding strings i've heard for that. for now these strings are my most favorite.

My 50 year old D-18 has been pretty hard to please. After trying all kinds of strings, plain and coated, I finally discovered the Retros and I have to say that they're just about perfect on this guitar. Well balanced, not too boomy or zingy, excellent intonation, great feel, and long lasting. Lights seem to work best for me but a may try a set of 13s to how the guitar and I get along with those. A bit pricey, but highly recommended.

Good strings. I have a Martin D35. They sound bright when you first put them on but they mellow without 15min. I would've liked them to stay crisper sounding a little longer. Can probably give a more accurate rating after a few weeks.

These strings add quite a bit of nostalgia to a acoustic stage performance. The kind where only microphones are used to enhance the performance.. And they also sound good when running the music through the guitar's pickup... good performance string all around... But they still don't make you play things right, they just make yer mistakes sound good... LOL
