Compared to the newer Google phones, the Nexus 5x is getting old. But mine works quickly and performs tasks without delay. It has the fingerprint reader, which I like very much. And the Biggest PLUS for me is that I can WIFI tether this to tablets and notebooks, without rooting! Does not have the smallest bezels like newer phones, but still seems like an adequately small form factor for the display size. Would recommend.

I had read about this phone and the boot loop issue and thought a refurbished item would have that fixed. I had this phone long enough to log in accounts see the nice features then it shutdown by itself and bootlooped. I had to turn it off by pressing pwr and vol down key. Then it turned on in middle of night by itself. I got happy navigated a few minutes then it shut off again and began bootlooping. I have not been able to stop it. My experience of 4hrs is enough to say f--- it. And encourage as many people possible to Buy Better Phone. Nexus is junk and lg matched them on this phone at the junk level.. I hate this phone and you probably will too...

I have had my Nexus 5x for 3 years and love it. I really like the fact that I get monthly operating system updates from Android to keep it secure and up to date. The picture quality is great and the features seem unlimited. The Nexus 5x phone I just purchased was for my wife to replace her older S.....g phone. The change over from her hold phone to the new one was smooth. She really loves the new phone.

Bought several of these used for my ten year old grand kids - twins. I know they'll loose or break them so I bought extra and right now in 2019 they are very reasonable on eBay. What I really like about the Nexus 5x is they are light enough that they don't pull my pants down when carried in my pocket like my heavier Nexus 6 does. They currently support Android Oreo 8.1 and are a good basic pure Android phone with a 5.2: screen, 12.3MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It only odes 1080p at 30/fps which is good enough and does not eat up storage space like 4K does.

This phone offers the best hardware, software and built quality for the price. For a phone of the same specifications from other manufacturers the cost would be at least 40% more. The earlier builds had a bug — of what is referred to as a boot loop — but phones under warranty were repaired free of cost and those manufactured after late 2016 were rectified before the shipping. I’ve had two of these phones and was fortunate not to have encountered that issue at all. It has excellent battery life, runs Android Oreo and I am a 100% satisfied with its performance.
