Death of a Blue Movie Star is about Rune (second book in a series of 3 starring her), a young girl living in Manhattan (on a houseboat, no less), who dreams of making movies. She gets the chance to make a documentary on a popular porn star who was featured in a theater that had just blown up. A few days later, the star herself is killed. Is this the work of a psychotic cult, or just a cold blooded killer? In this twisting, turning, moral tale, nothing is what it seems. A great read!
I'm a great Jeffery Deaver fan, but I was a little disappointed in this book. I had the preconception that the suspense would be similar to his other books, and it's not. Did not bond with the main female character, would have liked more background on her. I'll still read anything Deaver writes, but wouldn't put this one at the top of my list of favorites.
