I absolutely love the form factor of this laptop – it's not too small, like my old Toshiba netbook, and it’s not oversized either like my 15.6” Sony VAIO either. As is expected from a ThinkPad, it's very rugged and well-made, and since mine was purchased out of warranty I disassembled it on video to see the muscle this thing packs. Looking on the inside, it’s a very similar deal. As for battery life, mine is going on three years old at this point and the thing still charges in less than an hour, and under normal use (web browsing, IM clients, with YouTube and all over a VPN) I got a good five hours of use before I got a low battery notification. The one thing that really disappointed me—and this is more the fault of the seller, not Lenovo—is that my copy of Windows 10 wasn’t activated as advertised. I brought this lattop for my wife. She uses a laptop more on the word editing while she is on the business trip. This thinkpad carbon X1 2nd generation matches all her requirements, lightweight, i7 processor, SSD drive. Even though it was release on 2014, the proformance still quite decent as for now. I read someone's review on this preticular model of Carbon X1, seems likely to have some boot up issues, hopefully I am not the bad luck one to have it. The battery still could last at least one hour, considering it been 5 years already which is quite acceptable. I might plan to order an OEM battery from ebay to replace that in the future. Thanks for the sell give me a full coverage parcel, it wrapped with nice and tight foam. Overall it is a nice laptop suite for the poeple who want to finish the work by a lower cost. I still believe Thinkpad is better quality than any other ramdom brand laptop.Read full review
