    I think the best option for a XQD reader/writer.

    Works great for moving photos & videos on and off a Sony G XQD card. I was surprised by the size when I got it. It's bigger than I thought it would be. It sticks out 2½" from the front of my desktop computer. I measured about 330mb/s read and 230mb/s write with AS SSD with a 64gb Sony G XQD card plugged in USB 3.1 Gen 1 port on my computer. It was a touch faster, 340mb/s, on my wife's desktop with just a USB 3.0 port. I was disappointed there are no activity lights on the device. It does not exude quality. Very plastic feeling. The card is completely contained by the QDA-SB1/J when inserted. It has a spring eject mechanism. I don't see any other real buying options for the reader, especially if you want to spend $25 or less to move data with XQD cards. This reader does the ...

    Not as fast as expected.

    My Sony 64GB XQD G Series card does not read/write at it's fastest spec even though it's connected to a USB 3.1 port. I expected speeds to be faster. See attached photo. The unit itself uses a flimsy plastic, but unfortunately it's the only portable XQD reader on the market now and way overpriced due to low stock. The reader SHOULD be included with the Sony G XQD cards and not be a separate purchase.

    A must for the Nikon D850

    Only two big negatives, one the price, second the lack of availability in the future, as Sony have stopped making the format or about to. As far as performance and quality us concerned, five stars. No problems.
