The Zorki family progressed, after WWII, from a modified FED through the 3 and 4 series, cameras with a full range of shuitter speeds rather than the usual no=slow=speeds no= 1/1000 FED. And then along came the Zorki 5 and 6, Fed 2 cameras in all but name. I suppose there were lots of FED 2 parts to use up' FED itself produced a FED 2 in the dress of the newly introduced FED 3. The Zorki 5 is, in effect and largely physically, simply a FED 2 with an inproved inged back. Zorki fans will prefer the far more interesting and featured Zorki 3 and 4, but, like the FED 2 this camera really is, Zorki 5 units work well with the advantage of the longer based rangefinder of the FED 2 ("borrowed "from the Kiev series, and originally from the Zeiss Contaz, the dies of which arrived in the USSR as war reparations.) But, if the price is right and the buyer isn't afraid to return a bad unit or invoke the eBay guarantee, this is a useful camera and can be good value. Keep in mind that items from the old USSR work about half the time.Read full review

The Zorki 6 is a reliable camera made in the USSR. Unlike earlier models which used a knob to wind the shutter, the Zorki 6 has a lever which allows the user to wind the shutter while viewing the scene through the viewfinder. It is a manual camera with speeds from 1/500 sec to 1/30 sec and a B mode. I use an Industar 61 lens on the Zorki 6 body and have had excellent results. I own several Zorki cameras and the 6 is the sturdiest and has given me no problems. The earlier cameras like the 4 have slower shutter speeds but are quirky performers. There are some mechanical design improvements with this model and in my experience these are true improvements. There are many lens available in 39m style. There are many online sources for details about Zorki cameras. I am speaking from the point of view of a shooter. This is a solid camera that will give good results.Read full review

Camera is an excellent performer. It exceeded my expectations. This camera had a CLA and it shows. Shutter speed options are limited, but if you work within those limitations you can expect great results. I paired it with a Jupiter 8, 50mm f/2 and was not disappointed. Overall if you are looking for a FSU camera, consider the Zorki 6. I have included a few pictures I took with the Zorki.
