      Very Useful Switch for Dynamic or Condenser Mic

      I needed a way to quickly switch off my mic after recording to listen back on monitor speakers without getting feedback. This device does this quickly and easily. It's a great deal more convenient than switching off phantom power to the mic and/or physically disconnecting cables. It's a very niche product but if you need it, it's invaluable. Highly recommended.

      too big and heavy

      Good quality and does the job of providing an on -off switch for my mic However, this thing is very big and heavy making it difficult if not impossible to easily attach to a confortable and convenient spot on your clothes or ? I believe this switch could be redesigned with 1/2 the length and weight Then it would be a great 4 star accessory to have

      How much was that Mixer...

      ...too much money for it to NOT have an On/Off switch on the microphone! The solution was this, cheap as chips even from the good ole U S of A and perfect for the job. Need one? Get one!...and Pioneer.....TAKE NOTE!

      Mic and balanced line switch

      Hosa makes great quality accessories. This mic switch is a great addition to any mic; dynamic or phantom powered. It may not be recommended for phantom powered devices, but I use one in church and have no problems. I recently purchased another one for a totally different reason. My church has the main sound system downstairs but has a sub-mixer in the loft for the choir. One balanced line connects the two and I needed a way to use the monitor mix and turn off the church. This switch does the job. It is good quality and reasonably priced.

      XLR Microphone inline switch useful if you have unswitched microphones

      Useful addition if you have if your microphone doesn't have an on/off switch. The switch works as described but it is very noisy and creates a large audio pop when used live.
