They re great socks - I m 6 4 and wear a size 13 shoe and the XL size is perfect for me - both calf-wise and foot. I haven t washed them yet but I don t expect them to shrink much, if at all. They re a bit pricey but sometimes you have to pay a little more to get exactly what you want. I do think the shipping costs, on top of an already-hefty selling price, is excessive.
