      Watts not to like?

      A beginner to stereo 2 channel equipment would be pleased with the quality of construction and sound of this amplifier. It has subwoofer output and phono input RCA jacks which broadens the usability. I would recommend the amp be used for the more efficient 8 ohm speakers and not the more power hungry 4 ohm speakers. I am pleased with mine and am presently enjoying it.

      Great buy

      I was looking for an integrated amplifier for a vintage sound system, but didn't want to spend a fortune. This amp is perfect. It was very easy to set up with my other equipment, and the sound from the speakers is great. I was able to connect the following to the amp: tuner, cd player, dual tape deck, tv, turntable, and 2 pairs of speakers.

      Can't go wrong.

      Great little amp, that wonderful clean Yamaha sound. Fantastic phono stage, better DAC than my Marantz CD player has in it. Totally pleased. Wonder how the 801 would sound.....hmm. Anyway, some people fuss about the Sub output not being adjustable, but that is silly. Yamaha put a lot of features into an amp for $350, sure you can get these features and more in other brands, but guess what? It wont sound like a Yamaha does. I say job well done, and thank you for such a great product for those of us on a smaller budget after buying crazy speakers. PS I use Klipsch Heresy lll's. AWSOME MATCH!!!!

      Totally worth it.

      I always wanted a Yamaha A-S801BL. It was always out of my reach. I thought that maybe settling for this amp was a cop-out, I WAS WRONG. This amp can drive my Martin Logan bookshelf 35xt speakers with all the dynamic range I could want. It's everything I could hope for and I totally feel the quality is above the price; oh and the phono stage is good too.

      Very happy with A-S301

      Replaced a vintage 100W SAE power amp and Adcom pre-amp and sound clarity and power are excellent. Added bonuses are the remote that also controls my Yamaha CD player and a 5V usb style port that activates an EccoStrip to power all the peripherals.
