Affordable Power for Sub woofer projects or a great replacement amp
I referenced many reviews about this amplifier before I pulled the trigger to buy. I now agree with the majority of reviews that commented about this being more powerful than the stated wattage. This has a Peak far higher than expected for the price and stated info. Rather than my feelings about this, I will just tell you what it does for me: *Adds tight, realistic Bass response to my AR18's connected to a Pioneer SX 312R with CD and laptop input. *Fills a 12' x 12' room with the right amount of Bass.....enough so that only 40% of the volume of the sub woofer is the maximum needed for most of the Music I play (Blues, Classic Rock, Funky Jazz/Blues, Acoustical Genres-various). * Needs to be powered on each use, but for this price I wasn't expecting many perks. had a bose system that the flaky amp rec system was wonky or the amp on the back of the sub, just took it off and made a 3/4 inch ply plate for it and installed, hooked it up to output on teac 5.1 and very nice power, tried single rca, then speaker output to in, and then splitter for dual rca's and the dual rca's make it really respond well, I had looked for a while before seeing this at a great price, came fast and well boxed, MGhad a bose system that the flaky amp rec system was wonky or the amp on the back of the sub, just took it off and made a 3/4 inch ply plate for it and installed, hooked it up to output on teac 5.1 and very nice power, tried single rca, then speaker output to in, and then splitter for dual rca's and the dual rca's make it really respond well, I had looked for a while before seeing this at a great price, came fast and well boxed, MG
