    We use these guards for 12 "softball, I have taken some very hard hits from bad hops ,or knuckle ball liners in the infield and at the pitchers mound, and have hardly felt it, hits that could have broke a bone, I have worn them for 3 seasons now and highly recommend them to my teammates , they are very light in weight also, I never play without them.

      Exactly what I wanted!

      I wanted replacements for the exact knee guards I bought years ago. Luckily I've never had to actually test their integrity thru an actual crash, however my old ones lasted me 3 years before purchasing these. And the only thing that I struggle with my old knee pads is the Velcro no longer holds well. Which is why I replaced them with these new ones. They feel great and will offer decent protection on your knees and chins against sliding or impact. I'd recommend them. Their a bit of a struggle if you wear high ankle work boots as they don't sit well. You may have to sit them on top of the boot which feels awkward. But totally doable once you get used to it.

      Good quality, but bulky. I would go for something with a strap around the knee cap. Pros: Good quality guard CE rated. Great value/Retail Price Cons: Bulky No strap at the knee portion of it, making it not very viable (loose feel).

      The Best for 12" softball

      I use these pads for 12" softball after being injured to many times .We call these guards Body Armour, I have taken some bad hits at the pitchers mound , and avoided injury every time ,also very light weight , & large Velcro straps
