Pixel effects make it feel like an original gameboy color, I play with them on. Fit right into my Q5 compatible shell. The screen is larger than the original, and you must use the "lens" it comes with as it contains the digitizer for controls. Touch controls work well, and means that you have less wires to solder (it still needs one wire to the power switch).
