Solid Product
These are pretty straightforward desiccant packets. They do what they are designed to do. The main pouch that holds them is nice and thick with a good seal to keep moisture out. They will start turning pinkish pretty fast... that doesn't mean they are fully saturated. Solid pink needs a recharge, but slightly pinkish just means it is doing its job and absorbing moisture.

It constantly needs microwaving sometimes turns pink before I have them even put away. I live in Florida in a new home with ac running constantly.
I would not purchase this item again it doesn’t seem to be strong enough for my home. I live in a new home and air conditioner is running constantly. So either this is the wrong product for us or we need something stronger.

If you plan to store ammo or grain for any length of time, this is the way to protect it
I pack my ammo in 200 round pint and quart freezer bags and place one in each bag to adsorb what moisture may be left after I empty the bag of air. I aslo place one in the ammo can that I pack the bags in. I have had no problem with ammo that I stored 17 years ago in this manner. I store rice, flour and cornmeal in 1/2 gallon milk cartons. I place one oxygen adsorbent and one moisture adsorbent in the bottom of the carton before adding the product. The oxygen absorbent is to prevent "critters" from living and eggs from hatching and the moisture absorbent is to prevent spoilage. So far, It has lasted for the past ten years. Cost effective, renewable desiccant.....
Bought it for keeping optical and electronic items from dampness here in south Florida. So far, I'm really pleased. Seems to work fast and be adequate in coverage small (1QT) sealed ziploc bags. When it gets saturated, a quick spin in the microwave oven drys it out and it is ready for reuse. Don't know how many times I can reuse it, but it should last if I renew it properly and not over heat the plastic bag the desiccant is sealed in. These work very well. The indicator works perfectly. They are plastic and re-usable; Once saturated you can re-activate them by drying at low temp in the oven or low power in the microwave.
