      Isolation Pads

      They seem to work great. Got my TT leveled and played one album and the damn TT died. Damn....now to get my money back and try it again. But the pads did help get the TT off the shelf and for the 1 album I played they worked as advertised.

      Home audio application

      The pads work well as isolation devices for home audio applications. Get the correct durometer spec to suit your needs. So far seems to work at least as well as rubber/cork/rubber .

      Turntable isolation pads

      Four 2” square feet 7/8” thick. Cork in the middle and rubber on both sides. The cork matches our table perfectly. Just a great deal.

      Vibration isolation, Turntables and noise floor... structural vibration via the supporting structure.

      I found it far more effective in lower the noise floor during playback to isolate the turntable by placing one pad under each foot (4), than to use those (4) pads in conjunction with a platform in which to set the turntable on. As to solid state components research "Microphonics" and their effect on capacitors and other internal components. Microphonics or microphony describes the phenomenon wherein certain components in electronic devices transform mechanical vibrations into an undesired electrical signal (noise). The term comes from analogy with a microphone, which is intentionally designed to convert vibrations to electrical signals.
