The Inateck USB 3.2 Gen 2 Hard Drive / SSD Enclosure is well-constructed, but it does require a USB 3.0 port to recognize the USB drive. Plugging the USB drive into a USB 2.0 port disables all the computer's USB ports and requires a full power off reset before the USB ports will work again. The Inateck drive enclosure works fine with any USB 3.0/3.1 port.
