it had potential
A sci-fi series that just didn't take off. The episodes successfully tell their stories and depict the culture as they intended, but the characters just don't absorb you in. I don't know is it is the fault of casting, or director and script writers, but the cast just don't bring you into their universe. Most new series take a few episodes for the cast to settle into their characters and to develop and evolve, but most of this crew are almost as wooden in the last episode as the first. For the time it was made, the budget and effects are reasonable. I suspect that if given a longer run, it may have evolved into a better series. I have seen far worse than this, but it doesn't reach the heights of other memorable shows. But don't take my negative commentary as saying avoid it, as I think it ...
