Replacing Jason Newsted (snatched up by Metallica), new bassist and lyricist Troy Gregory (Prong, Killing Joke) now took the songwriting helm, and the resulting STORM polarized much of Flotsam's hardcore fanbase. Borderline-commercial songs such as "Suffer The Masses" were viewed by some as an attempt at mainstreaming the group. The limited reissue version includes a bonus interview track with band members.
