This would have definitely come from the manufacturer to the seller.     If your replacing muffler on a 2010 malibu this muffler fit right over the old pipe. Couldn't be easier.

    Couldn't have been easier. Cut the old one out and it fit right over the old pipe two clamps and done. Never had an exhaust job gone easier. It took longer to get the car up on jack stands than it did to cut the old one out and slide in the new one. This was for a 2010 malibu.
