We had listed this previously for sale and decided to do a quick check following its sale as the buyer had come to our depot to pick up. Upon testing however, we discovered that the laptop wouldn't Power Up. We ran some diagnostics check to determine why this was the case, and were unable to get the machine to power up. This is in spite of the charger being confirmed as OK. We suspect that because we've left it Un-powered & unattended (although very well protected and insulated from the elements) for so long, there may be a short somewhere within it. We dont know for certain why it isnt powering up as this was a Brand new Machine that was never used, nor powered. In view of this, we've decided to sell it for SPARES or REPAIRS as we reckon this would be an amazing purchase for someone out there with the right knowledge of fixing Macbook Laptops. This again, is for SPARES OR REPAIRS! and Returns are NOT ACCEPTED!”

Not much bigger or heavier than an iPad but more powerful, better protected with a hinged lid so also easier to carry and doesn't have that annoying reaction to repackaged webpages which jiggle about and readjust as more data is loaded and screen of iPad (or iPhone) blanks out and readjusts. (or has to "Reload". Yes, it is more expensive but a 2017 spec is good for the foreseeable future and a Retina screen is easier on the eyes. Last of a line
Apple have slowly destroyed the possibilities with their laptops, this 2017 model is probably the last I will buy and this being the last SSD upgradable machine. They have stripped it down to the barest of 2 USBC ports making it very sleek but ugly as it needs a cumbersome hub that dangles and invariably goes wrong. Time to start looking at the alternatives.

Poor battery life
This is my third MacBook and all's good apart from the battery life which in this model is very poor. It drains even when not in use and needs to be plugged into charge 24/7, I have deactivated as many apps and functions feasible with normal operation but it drains within a few hours regardless of use. Very disappointing.
