Four and three-quarters stars, a fine piece of kit.
The intelligent auto setting lets you get good shots straight out of the box, and like Panasonic`s compact cameras, you can ease yourself into using the more advanced features quite easily. Yeah, it`s a chunky beast, and the lens cap has a mind of it`s own, but it starts up quickly, and once it`s fired up, the lens doesn`t move when you zoom so it stays balanced in your hands. Whilst the 4k video footage is beautiful to behold, you have to bear in mind that the image stabilisation doesn`t operate at this resolution, so tripod, steadycam, or steady hands are your choices. The Panasonic Lumix FZ2000
After much huffing and puffing, I went over to the shop, The Camera Box, in Kettering and bought this along with a spare battery, and an ND variable filter as well. The step up from the FZ1000 to this is, well, astounding. I was amazed at all the things this unit had on offer. I am 100% satisfied and pleased with the FZ2000 Adrian and his staff are also very pleasant and helpful indeed. Would I recommend this camera and shop to anyone? TOO TRUE I WILL AND WOULD. Their web site is very good too LOL. Excellent camera
I've had a few cameras, from compacts to a fairly high-end CSC, and this is definitely one of my favourites. It has as many features as I could ever need from a camera and the picture quality is excellent. It's certainly not what you'd call compact, but if I need a camera to shove in my pocket then I have my phone. If you're new to photography then the auto mode works excellently, but if you want to get more into the settings than you can change pretty much any setting, and it's very easy to customise it to get it exactly the way you want it. Probably the best Bridge camera you can buy at the moment.
The image quality is good but not up tp the standard of a good Dslr But if you run the raw images through Photoshop one can make them look very nice. The instruction manual supplied with the camera is next to useless, which would make things difficult for a beginner. However, it is a very good camera to have with you when you do not wish to carry A Dslr and a bag full of lenses.
