Synopsis
The only son of Greek immigrants, George John Douvris grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was in high school when the counterculture movements of the 1960s brought changes that no one could have imagined, and he was eagerly swept up in the political and cultural upheaval. In his first book, Crossing Karma Zones , Douvris reflects upon the magical decade that altered the world forever. From his involvement in the civil rights movement and antiwar protests, to his psychedelic experiences at the legendary Woodstock Festival, to his years in the famous hippie community of Haight-Ashbury, Douvris experienced all of the wonder the 1960s had to offer. It was a time of idealism, free love, and rock and roll. Douvris shared his wild ride with his wife, Stephanie, and their world travel led to unique perspectives on spiritualism, natural health, and world cultures. Douvris and his wife eventually settled on an organic farm on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii, and he began examining the ways in which the unique experience of living through the 1960s influenced the course of his life. Crossing Karma Zones presents the first chapter of a life guided by principles and filled with laughter, love, and experimentation.

- b***b (169)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseAfter two poor experiences with this seller, they exceeded my expectations with this order…hard to believe it was the same seller. The book purchased, identified in their listing as “Very Good”, was, in fact, “Like New”. The price was very fair. Shipping was slow, but that seems to be true with many things purchased in the internet. If I have a complaint, it is that the seller will not respond to specific questions about a listed item before the purchase..too many orders to do so! 🙁The Beginning or the End: How Hollywood―and America―Learned to Stop Worrying an (#387783000754)

I made a great purchase and I now look forward to purchasing additional items by this author from this seller. 10/10 satisfaction! The Power of A Praying Wife Omartian, Stormie paperback Used - Like New (#276668989218)
