Book was brand new and loved the art work as well as the design of papercraft. The story is more of a quest to find mommy in the most offbeat places as well as facial features of monsters as being bothered by this boy and his antics. Great 1st book into fantasy and also liked the additional pages with surprises. If can add to bookshelf is a joy to have .

An Amazing Visually Delightful Great For Halloween Book
I was looking for a Halloween book for my eleven year old granddaughter who, like myself, loves pop up books. Wow, what a wonderful treat! There are six large pop ups as well as mini pop ups in the twelve pages. They are very well drawn in subdued colors, detailed, and exceptionally paper engineered. I have many Matthew Reinhart/Robert Sabuda collaborative pop up books and this one by Yorinks, Sendak, and Reinhart does not disappoint. The pages will tickle your fancy and bring a smile on your face to see the monsters trying to scare the little boy. This book will be a very fast "read" because it is basically without words; so don't get it if you expect to read a story to your child. Get the book if you want an amazing, visually titillating experience. This book will be the perfect ...
