Hank Hill (the voice of Mike Judge) is the patriarch in a Texan family. His main focus in his fatherly duties is to make his son Bobby (the voice of Pamela Segall) a man, a task that Hank doesn't find easy with Bobby's interest in science and pop culture outweighing more typically manly pursuits. Hanging out with a motley crew of trailer trash, Hank struggles to be a good father and a real man. Creator Mike Judge followed up his popular programme BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD with this animated series offers hilarious insights into the modern man of the Midwest. This collection comprises the entire first season showcases Peggy's Boggle skills, rites of passages in Scouting, and Hank's bowel movements.

    He's King of his Hill alright...

    I've always had a soft spot for King of the Hill - I glance the tv guide and once in a blue moon C4 will have the brains to give us another chance of seeing brilliance. Hank Hill is a proud american and propane salesman - he loves his town (the imaginary Arlen, he loves his wife Peggy (Subsitute Teacher of the year 1996, if you don't mind) and he also loves his son Bobby (though sometimes Hank has to admit "that boy ain't right"). This first series is a wonderful introduction into the Hills and all the ups and downs that enter their lives. Possibly one of the best characters is Luanne (voiced by the charasmatic Brittany Murphy) who in one episode goes through a very painful (but funny) break up.     i got this dvd because i love king of the hill & i have other discs from the collection. This is a fantastic series & i think we all have a bit of hank hill in us. I decided to buy this dvd because 1, because it was fairly cheep. 2. because it is something that i can keep for the future & watch again & again with my boy because they love it too.
