First off I though this game was an open world (sandbox) game.If you also think that then I hate to tell you that it's not.But this game is still worth a try.The story is very intresting.I won't get in to detail's (don't wan't to spoil anything).Graphic's are great but do to it being so good the game is a bit on the short side. When you load your last save (game has a sort of check point type save but you have to save your self it won't autosave) it play's what's giong on in that chapter which is cool (great for people who have bad memory). The way the inventory work's now is great it's alot easy to get what you need and fast. The car's in the game handle way better than I thought it would (best part of the game is driving). Now for the bad stuff.Well the only problem this game has is the camera. Some time's it tend to get stuck and that can be dangerous in this game. But like I said this game is a good one.Don't let a kind of crappy camera make you miss out in this game.Read full review
I like this game, even though there are a lot of flaws I find with it. The goods are that you can be a little creative with combining materials you find to create weapons and ammo for whatever the situation calls for. I like the way that fire is used throughout this game, especially the burn-rate for objects. The monsters are pretty cool, but I have seen better (especially in games like Dead Space). Being able to drive is also a plus. I have always wondered why you couldn't drive in games like Resident Evil, I mean what could be more fun than running over zombies? Although these creatures aren't zombies, I'm torn as to whether or not they're average or easy to defeat. Once you bring fire into the mix, it seems like they just go down too easy (I am still closer to the beginning of the game, about chapter 4 or something to that effect). Now, what I find as problems with this game are camera angles, glitchy looking character movements, the aiming and swinging systems, and the storyline. As far as camera angle is concerned, I figure if you can change angles while driving, you should be able to with the 3rd person perspective in action mode so you can get a bigger picture of your surroundings. The way in which the camera switches for the cinematic effect is a bit helpful, but it seemed to get old seeing the same angle. Character movements are a big pet peeve of mine when it looks fake, such as while climbing or jumping. When it came to controls such as aiming and swinging, the idea of swinging an object to either catch fire or knock down enemies was a neat idea, but it could have used a little work, or at least a better in-game tutorial for how to swing correctly. Aiming was okay in first person, but I wish it was also possible in 3rd person, at least the ability to switch between the two. What I also didn't like about aiming was how the laser would automatically follow enemies when you got a close aim on them, yet the gun was stationary on your position (I mean, what bullets from a police hand-gun follow a laser pointer anyway?) Finally, the storyline is okay, but it definitely could have used work. I wasn't too big on how the in-game cinematics were, they just looked cheesy when it came down to it. Aside from the flaws (which seem pretty big here), I still like this game. One thing is for sure, this game is much much better than the movie.Read full review
I haven't played this on any other system but going on reviews the PS3 version seems to be the definitive version. The pros - The game has a great atmosphere that actually sucked me in. I seemed to care about the characters and for the most part the voice acting is decent as is the plot. Graphics and sound are also solid. The cons - The controls suck and that's the major problem. While you can move the camera, a lot of the times it's preset. You'll find yourself going one way then the camera will stop. Also the main characters movements are anything but fluid. Sometimes you'll want to jump but if you are not in the right place you'll die. Also, the ending is weak. Conclusion - If you have a little patience and like semi-scary games then it is possible to have fun. Otherwise stay clear. Rating 6/10Read full review

This ALONE IN THE DARK game for the PS3 is the worst video game I've played since Turning Point Fall of Man. Gamespot gave this dog a 7.5 rating! This is absurd. From the excessive use of profanity to the terrible camera and clunky movement, poor character animation and rendering and story, AID is a disgraceful excuse for a 3rd generation console game. And the PS3 version is supposed to be a "better" version than the 360??? OMG! I had to laugh out loud because of the stupidity of this pathetic game. Stay away from Alone in the Dark, don't even bother renting it.
BEST LIP LINE Fixer on the market!!!
