If you liked the 1962 hit instrumental "Telstar" by The Tornadoes, purchased the 45, flipped it over and enjoyed the B-side "Jungle Fever", and wanted to hear more, so bought their album, liked it so much you still wanted to hear more and tracked down their other 45's (I eventually acquired all five of The Tornadoes' American 45's on the London label) and after all this time still want more this CD compilation is for you. • Vampiers, Cowboys - The Great Joe Meek

For any musician or music lover who has come to appreciate the innovative and pioneering work Joe Meek did then this compilation album is a must have. It is the best of the best - two CD's worth... hours and hours of THAT sound... For the real Meekster you have to watch the Movie "Telstar" on DVD - it's only in PAL format but it read fine on my Acer Travelmate laptop. It's a real Hollywood-style movie that didn't seem to make it here to North America - a real shame. I would have loved to see it on the really big screen.
