One of the books from the encyclopedia set I purchased arrived with the cover completely detached from the book. I opened up a return and the seller tried to gaslight me by saying it wasn't like that when he shipped it. How do you miss something so obvious? The seller is either incompetent or purposely deceptive, as there was no mention of it in the listing. I accepted a $50 partial refund because the rest of the set is nice, although now I have to spend $30 on book binding tape to repair it.
