Good movie but this dvd has a manufacturer defect of the disc and will freeze and quit playing at a certain point in the movie. I got to chapter 9 and it froze and would not play the rest of the movie. This was my second copy that did not play. The first disc I bought would not play at all. It's a good movie but the disc is defective. Don't buy this movie or you will probably have problems with it not playing or freezing up.

I was paging through movie listings by a seller and found this movie. As a fan of the tv series Chuck and seeing Yvonne Strahovski listed in the credits, I figured, why not. The description of the movie suggests just another B movie, but even some of those can be fun to watch. Much to my surprise, the movie is very good (really doesn't go the direction of the description) and is well acted. There are times when the characters get themselves in binds that I wanted to scream at them "why don't you just...". But then these are city slickers with no backcountry experience. I remember way back when I was one of those and managed to survive some really stupid decisions that I would never make now. Give the movie a try, and I bet that you will like it.
The elements of unexpected surprises served this movie well

The Grand Canyon is the real star of this survival film; the scenery is awesome. Lost in the Grand Canyon, the protagonists generally make sensible survival choices. The action is realistic with no impossible menaces such as mutant gun-toting cannibals. For a real treat, watch this back to back with THIRST starring Lacey Chabert, another desert survival film with a strong heroine.
