Anyone who owns an electric guitar should own one of these. It's a versatile little amp, great for practicing. It has excellent sound for a solid state amp across a range of settings and effects. It's the best sounding "very small", solid state amp I've come across. It's got a headphone jack for quiet practice, and the aux in jack can be used to play along with tracks from an iPod or other music player. It will run a long time on AA batteries, so you can take it out busking. It's loud enough to play a small venue, as long as you don't need to get over a drum kit, so if you need something you can readily get on and off stage for an open mic night performance, this is it. Backyard wedding gig? This will allow you to set up anywhere, powered by batteries. Need a backup amp for larger gigs? This takes up almost no space, and you can mic it into the house PA in a pinch. This amp's also extremely durable. If you find one used, get it. If the power supply is missing, don't despair. Roland=Boss, and a standard Boss power supply will work with this little amp.Read full review

I finally got the amp and it wasn't the one shown, but it was the one I had really wanted in the 1st place. It was white, not beige as shown. It had it's strap and a short cord. No plug as stated. I had to order theirs because every 9 volt plug I tried didn't work. I'm dissapointed because it's very quiet, not loud at all. I was wondering if it was even working. Playing my hollow body ubass thru it was sad compared to my $10 dollar yard sale Ibanez bass amp. I've only used AA batteries so far though. But would that make a difference ?Not happy, couldn't pay $150 that's for sure. Larry McCormick

Great amp. Lightweight, compact, take anywhere amp. Comes with a power adapter but I love using the 6 aa batteries. I can go to the park or sit in my yard and create music. This amp is just so much fun! The 3 watts are loud enough, I never need to even crank it. Also, it's sturdy and very well built. I wanna find another one used at a decent price to buy when a friend wants to meet and jam somewhere. If I pull these Cubes out, it would blow their mind. Great amp sounds from clean to filth, and enough effects on board to keep me happy. Takes pedals well also. Every guitarist needs this. It seems like a toy but far from it. Get ya one!!

I was looking for a battery powered amplifier that actually has effects, but I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. There were several brands out there that ran in hundreds of dollars. Then I found the Roland Micro Cube 2 and bought it. It is perfect. Excellent modelling and reverb (essential). You really can't go wrong with this amp. Of course, it is not for public venues (unless very intimate), but I wanted it for me in my house without lugging extra cables around. I highly recommend this little gem.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've spent far too much time looking into practice amps and between wattage and effects, it's a deep rabbit hole. I've checked out pretty much every brand, and considered even the several hundred dollar modeling amps. This is perfect for my needs. Plenty of effects, SMALL and lightweight with a headphone jack. Really what a practice amp should be. For practicing. This means I can just plug right in and be playing in no time, which has increased time I spend on the fretboard.
