Barbarian gives you exactly what it says it does: an landscape reliant fighter similar to One Piece: Grand Battle with ten or so barbaric characters to choose from. The game relies on your normal physical attacks as well as ranged attacks, but also allows you to grab objects from the enviornment and chuck them at your opponents. You are given free range over the stage to run wherever you want unlike traditional 2D style 3D fighters. As far as cinematic value, the title is about all you will see. However, during the loading screens you can move the word "loading" as well as the bobbing skull around with the left and right analog sticks...if...you are really that bored... The other downside to this game is that there are really no unlockables. Overall, this game is pretty average for an old game.Read full review
This game has a bit of a learning curve for those over 30 years old. The opponents get progressively harder as the game unfolds which puts more stress on the carpal tunnel issues. This is a young gamers game but, frankly the young won't be interested compared to the more elaborate RPG's out there today.

I bought this game because I saw the graphics and I liked them, but never thought it was just another fighting game, much like Mortal Kombat, and not a puzzle solving like Akuchi the heartless. It is interesting, but for me, after the second fight, I just don't want to go a third time. It is good, but not for me...
