Does quality always come at a cost?
Where do one start when reviewing limited edition, 300m waterproof, automatic(with a seiko movement no less) for under a hundred dollars? Can it less than good? The short answer is no, it's great. The slightly longer answer is this: It's a big, chunky and weighty piece of horology in a mix of polished and brushed stainless steel. The fit and finish of the watch is great bordering on excellent and with the exception of the clasp(more on that later) it feels, and looks like a watch worth every penny of its ~$1100 msrp and probably more. The lava dial is beautiful and unique. The small embossed divers helmets set the case of from other divers. And the two faced, two tone bezel is a work of art. Oh, and the see through back with the yellow custom rotor on that sturdy Seiko movement is just the ... It wears every millimeter of its size so if you have small wrists this one might not be for you. That was a lot of positives, how about negatives? Well, the clasp feels cheap and flimsy and not on par with the rest of the watch. The lume is also not brilliant, a bit weak and slow charging. Buy this watch as a beater, a everyday watch, work watch, sport watch, something that will see life, hard or not. Don't buy it as jewelry
