If you like the Rockford Files, you'll want to see this
These are the first 4 of 8 TV movies produced as a followup to the Rockford Files TV Series which ended in 1980. The actors are about 14 years older. To me these feel a lot like episodes from the original series with longer run times. Picture and sound quality are fine, just what you would expect from a Hollywood TV production. The only disappointment is that there are zero extras or special features. By the time this was released on DVD many of the actors and producers had passed away so there wasn't much opportunity to get new interviews or commentary. The Rockford Files: Movie Collection
I felt this was a must for my Rockford Files collection. I used to tape the episodes and movies from the T.V. to keep and when these came out on DVD's it was a great space saver in addition to being able to watch without the commercials. These movies are fun and it was great seeing many of the cast members get back together. Of course they've aged quite a bit, but what the hell, so have I.I felt this was a must for my Rockford Files collection. Rockford Files Movie Collection Vol 1
These movies are a terrific extension of The Rockford Files series. I had them all taped from when they aired on TV, but it is great to have the much improved quality. Great stories and characters. They're wonderful because they bring back some great memories of the show, but they also stand proudly on their own.
