Getting what I paid for
I bought a used paper tray and I expected a used paper tray. But it was a little over "tired." The latch, intended to be triggered when the tray is inserted into the printer, is worn so it is extra-sensitive. It will literally "spring" when there's a vibration in the room. I bought the tray just for envelopes so I don't have to unload paper every time I want to print envelopes -- just slide one tray out and another tray in. But the new (used) tray with envelopes was always sprung. So I switched uses -- paper now in the used tray with the weight keeping the platform down and envelopes in the original tray that springs only when it's supposed to spring. Perfect fit.
It was a perfect fit for my HP Office Jet Pro 8620 which had a different part number. I needed an additional tray to hold legal size paper so I could just swap out trays when needed rather than removing tray, removing paper, adjusting cassette tray dimensions, adding paper, and reinserting tray. And follow the steps in reverse to put letter size paper back in the printer. HP did not have these in stock.It was a perfect fit for my HP Office Jet Pro 8620 which had a different part number.
