missed no out for sound,oh no. hook up in under a minute, 3 or so hours to get agreed w/ network. I had to drop all security, and let unit update via router. finished up, restart hooked to the world, Not 1 computer [4]in house allowed past router. oh no. set up, completely re run wireless setup, no sweat, happy,I need better sound options, totally missed it in research. Keeping it for all the other goodies, no amps in bedroom, Very decent unit, great picture, easy operation, mine came with no manual, I saw that in ad. This model has so many apps and streaming entertainment, my only complaint would be lack of audio options.

These units are absolutely useless with out a remote control. It powers up perfectly. Just cannot manipulate the various commands without a remote control. Sure wish I knew this before purchasing unit. Next task for me to make purchase worthwhile, is to find compatible remote control.

This is a used dvd player & by some standards some might already be considered old. I can't imagine needing anything more. After owning several brands perhaps even Sony's this one is by far the easiest ever to maneuver. We're seniors & not that we're incapable of using electronic equipment but even when we were younger some were far more frustrating than fun to use. Within a few minutes we had this easily figured out . The only mistake I made was in ordering a remote replacement. If you want to set the codes to get the multi region working you need one with numbers on it.I don't understand why they call it a multi region player when it is not pre factory set. That is why I give it 4 not 5 stars. I still do not know if that feature works I have to purchase another remote first.

I bought two of these. They do what they are suppose to do and they do it well. However, the software interface is a little fluky. I have to unplug it and reconnect at least once a week on each of them (you know the "reboot" routine). The computer software is flaky....which may or may not have to do with the remotes. The remote fits nicely in your hand, but has so many buttons that are too close together - even for a woman's hand and there is a delay after making a selection that I have not experienced with other remotes. But, as I say it reduced the clutter and the Wi-Fi works well....and the DVD player works - all on one machine.

Really nice unit. Why didn't they make it a rectangular box shape? It slopes forward which is odd so you cant set anything on top of it. Not a real problem but it just looks odd. It has lots of features and the wireless function is great.

I have some pal dvds and wanted code free multi region for them. With the end soon coming for the regular dvd production I felt I should also get Blue Ray. It is so easy to use and the picture is fantastic. I know I can play my older dvds as well and they look better. A Great purchase and the way to go for the future. Thank you for having it available.

I generally like Sony Products and was i the business in sales and installattion for the better part of fifteen years. I puchasd this one for around $50. It's only usefulness was to turn my TV into a Smart TV via WIFI untill the power supply started shoting out. It's cheaply made and I would think twice about purchasing anoth Sony DVD, The 40" Sony Brvia TV I had at the time was a great; the picture quality was exellent and never had a problen with It, I wouln't recommed their DVDS though The cheap platic construction and low quality electonics arent worth $50 new let alone refurbished. All of my televisions and Blu-Ray players are always Sony. There is incredible picture quality and compatibility across devices. The TV turns on when you insert a disc. Multiple functions work on either device on the remote controls. I like the convenience and simplicity. I also depend on the reliability. This type of device should last at least five years with moderate use. They can last much longer if treated gently. I have an older Sony Blu-Ray that is much larger. I use it in my test jig when I test equipment or set up a new system. Wonderful technology. Works every time.

The player is working fine. The only problem is that it's slow to start and sometimes you need to press the same button 2 or 3 times on the remote to make it work. But apart from that, I'm happy with it. It plays my DVDs from different regions flawlessly and that's what I bought it for.
