For a sports game it has pretty good graphics. You can play in two diffrent modes 11 on 11 which is like NFL . You can also play 5 on 5 which is very quick. The game is very realistic and fun. You can call your play from the playbook which has very many plays or you can do a game flow where it chooses the play but on the touch screen you can draw up where people go. Each quarter is 5 minuetes long. Overall, this is a great game.

Madden NFL Football for 3DS sort of brings a new dimension to both games and sports alike. Maybe it is because the top screen is 3D? I wouldn't know. The graphics are somewhat similar to the previous games like 2010 or 2005 on the PS2... just with a 3D look, you can see the difference between 2D and 3D with the slider on the top screen. The game play is spectacular, the game even features the call your own plays option, which is awesome in case I accidentally call a wrong pass play. There is one downfall in gameplay and that is the HUGE scoreboard on the ends of the fields. The 11 on 11, or the 5 on 5 option is great for players to have somewhat on experience to the old NFL Street games for the 5 on 5 game with some down grades. The season mode is kind of like a mode that you play 32 seasons (one for each team) and try to get to the Super Bowl, if you don't, you start all over... again; with no new roster. With dull season mode, and no online modes. I'd only recommend this game to NFL fans who like the NFL games and want to feel like they're playing on the GBA or Game Boy again, for this generaton. Great game play, almost real life graphics (which the 3D comes in) and the atmosphere of the game. I gave it a 3... out of 5.Read full review
Easy to learn gameplay and good graphics with a lot of options for all levels of play.

This game is pretty sub par. Notably I'm not a huge football fan but I can win matches in this real easily with my limited knowledge of how to play the game. I expected a bit more challenge. I can get the football and run it from the end of the field to the goal sometimes and I don't think that is realistic. Also there is no online play and EA has ditched the entire 3DS console which is the only factor that drives this video game up in price. This is a $5 game and it is crazy how people spend $100 on it during the holidays. Hold onto your money and buy a better football game for a different system. $100 will get you two new EA titles for a modern television console with much more bang for your buck.
Madden on the 3DS is great looking and fun to play game.If you like football go ahead and pick this one up. 5 on 5 is the best. A first for a handheld. Just be prepared to have limited game modes and no online play. But this is an overall fun football game that any football fan should enjoy. It is and experience like you have never had before on a handheld. The price has gotten a lot cheaper. Well worth the $20.00 you can get them for now on ebay.
Plays it all the time
