Color for magazines!
I have an original Kindle and it works great but I wanted something on which to view magazines and all of the colorful images they usually have. This provides a sharp image with vibrant colors. The battery life burns quicker than a regular kindle because it has a lit display, and it’s in color, and the screen is larger, but I sit with it plugged in while using it, usually, so it’s not a problem for me. Lightweight and intuitive to use. I like it.

Economy version of a kindle
We use a bunch of generation 3 kindle fires, and 1hdx model, I thought I would see what the generation 5 was like, It has a camera, that is New, but lacks a lot of the features of the older models but I do like the start and volume buttons placement better,and the light weight. I have not used this long enough to know about the battery life, it has 92% still on since I bought it. That seems good to me. lots of apps good clear screen but it tends to get lots of finger prints. I will be getting a screen cover & a case for it soon. Excellent quality and features
I am very impressed with the Amazon Fire 8HD (5th generation) tablet. I have never owned a Smart Phone, and didn't need an actual phone, but I did need to be able to run apps and this seems to be perfect for the job. One important app I needed to run was a Kroger app, but could not find it on Amazon's app store. It was only available on Google Play. I call Amazon and asked about getting Google Play and was disappointed to hear that it was not available and could not be run on Amazon Fire tablets. They were wrong. I Googled for how to do it and found several You Tube videos telling how to put it on Amazon Fire. Ten minutes later I had Google Play and my Kroger app running perfectly on the Amazon Fire. The sound is pretty good for the tiny tablet speakers. The 8" HD screen is very clear. The battery lasts only about 4 hours of continuous running, but I am sure would run a lot longer if I didn't have the brightness turned up so high. I found my Amazon Fire on Ebay with a cover in mint condition for less than $50. I am very happy with my Amazon Fire tablet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Nice and simple
It's a pretty good tablet for reading and ocasionally listening some music or checking your facebook, e mail, etc, however, it may seem slow if you try using different apps and/or navigate the web at the same time on a regular basis, specially compared with more powerful tablets. Third kindle Lot's of features good price
Fast great condition everything I ordered was received. Needs charger adapter wire for charger did not work well. Drove me crazy until I figured the problem out. It was the wires for the adapter to the charger's fault I like the condition and the quality of this model kindle. I got what I ordered. I should have ordered one with a larger screen. Not real happy with the smaller size of this one. Silk browser is a lot slower in this one,than my older Fire. It is so in downloading. Sometimes I have to cancel word look up as it doesn't download and I get tired of waiting. Camera is useful However, the resolution limits what you can use it for. I would suggest you get a larger size at least an 8 inch. No it is not my wifi or internet download speed. I have the fastest offered nowadays for home use. I got this for my grandma, she wants to learn how to use a tablet. I think for starters this kindle was plain out amazing for the price. I mean it is brand new, it is a Kindle, and it meets my expectations. Camera quality is not as great, but for a 7" it isn't that bad. I will just mainly use the kindle for reading.
