All other mounts were either; out of easy reach/sight, rubbed on my knee, visually obstructed mic, dangled mic cord around legs. This mount ticked all the boxes for me and cheaper. Mic cord runs down then through gap at top of shroud below steering wheel to the mounted GME XRS370 on firewall. Mic can still reach front passenger but taught enough not to dangle on legs.
