    Great product. Displays my ring in back family room. I can drop in video on family who have echo. Home phone rings and phone calls are announced who is calling additional equipment need for this option. Request music plays with lyrics displayed. Grandkids love it. Highly recommend.

    Good mechanics, poor software

    Unit is mechanically sound, the software or “skills” are significantly lacking. Bought this to be a bedside clock, only to find it does not have the capability of a motionless full screen clock face. It only offers a floating, multi size readout. But if you want “this day in history” or “cat facts” this is for you. PS- spoke with Amazon who was surprised it did not have the “clock” feature, but promised to forward that suggestion on.......

    No Group Calls

    I started with the Echo Show 5 and it was a bit small so I upgraded to the 8 and it is the perfect size. The screen is vibrant and colorful. Alexa works great. The only thing I don't like is that you can only talk with one person at a time. I along with older family members ordered it as a easier way of communication but no one knew we would not be able to do a group call or chat. This feature is supposedly being worked on for use in the future but as of now, it's just a 1 on 1 video calling feature. I bough a swivel stand for it and its nice I can easily move it around as needed.

    Great addition to your smart home security system

    This thing is better than expected. After adjusting the EQ the sound is great for a room. I’m not expecting to use it to through a block party, so it works very well. I don’t have an alarm clock, so to nice to have the time on my night stand. I also drop in every once in a while to check on my parrot. It’s a lot of fun.

    This echo show works really great and has many features, it also works with my Ring alarm products, i can see right away whet's out there, no need to open phone and open Ring app. Also good source for music, videos, and prime TV. Has a sharp learning curve.
