    Nice Little gadget

Before this one i owned a similar type chinese amp, wich worked untill one day didn´t, the Vox is more expensive but the quality and features you get are far betther than the cheap one. The tone is very good and have more options, the built inn rithm machine is also a nice feature.

  • Top critical review

Noisy instrument circuit, not capable of reproducing low frequencies.

On paper it seems like a great idea. Unfortunately, in practice, using high quality studio headphones, the instrument circuit not only is very noisy (lots of high frequency hiss), it is not capable of amplifying any frequency below about 200 Hz. Unfortunately, this removes the bass fundamental and first harmonic, which makes a bass sound like an AM radio. No amount of gain or tone adjustments will correct the problem. On a positive note, the drum rhythm circuit works!

  • Great practice tool

this is a great device, i use every day and now i practice more than what i used to, just plug it, turn it on and go, every feature is useful and it covers everything you might need, aux in for backing tracks, built in click and beats on different measures, nice tone, i recommend pairing with rechargeable batteries since they only last a few days if used a lot, the plastic could have been of better grade/quality since it looks cheap but it really works great.

  • Great Product for Practice

Great way to practice without disturbing those around you. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit super snugly into the pickup on the guitar, so gravity spins it so the heaviest side is down. Doesn't really impair use, just slightly annoying. You need to plug in both your phone and your earbuds/headphones to the amp, so that means using a dongle for Apple products. I have Samsung earbuds and an iPhone, so I only have to use one. I haven't used all the features yet since I'm just a beginner guitar player, but I would guess they come in handy.

  • Excellent, BUT...

Best tool for practicing bass. Not only does it allow you to use your cellphone or laptop to provide practice music, it does so with less annoying RF interference than other practice amps I've tried. It also has a couple of pre-loaded drum grooves that you can practice with if you don't have music sources readily available. Tonal quality is good enough and it's a useful practice tool; BUT BATTERY LIFE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM, as batteries typically only provide 3 or 4 hours of use at reasonable volume, and there is no rechargeable option but to buy separate rechargeable batteries.

  • Will do In a Pinch

I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks now. My only complaint is that when connected to my bass, there is a very discernible hiss from the unit. It’s also pretty har on batteries, but that is to be expected for what it does. On the plus side this unit puts out some pretty impressive volume and punch. For those who have to worry about making too much noise while playing or disturbing someone who’s sleeping, you can’t go wrong.

  • It is incredible!!

If I would known this I buy it a long time ago. Now I can play my bass guitar and my baby can sleep without problems and my neighbors are happy, too, hahahahah. It has an entry for music that you can rehearse together with the song of your choice. It is marvelous. Thanks very much

  • Nice toy

Don't expect the best audio quality out of this, I have an AKG 240 headphones and been playing in a jazzbass VM and I am really enjoying this small toy but I recognize that this is a fragile piece of plastic and missing some components like a better drum machine or hifi audio quality! Pros: small, enjoyable, built in although simple drum machine. But to play home or on the go this is perfect!

  • A fantastic practice tool.

This is a great device for practicing bass. The tone is both flexible and great-sounding, and with the built-in rhythms and aux input, it eliminates the need for an amp for practice sessions. On the negative side, it is very lightweight and seems a little flimsy. I would also have liked some on-board effects, like a compressor or chorus, but for the price, this is a very handy little tool for bass players.

  • Head phone amp

Lost my first one moving. The replacement works great. Perfect for practicing and not bothering anyone and I can play as loud as I want. My IPod plugs right in so it's an idea practice amp worth every penny!
