Notes
Whether playing his drums or marimba, Barker acts as a structuralist, organizer and creator. He's a percussionist/composer of multiple dimensions as nine of the eleven tracks proves. Thurman works in collaboration with pianist Marilyn Crispell on three tracks in a duo setting. In quartet setting he is joined by keyboardist John Medeski and saxophonist John Stubblefield. Maurice McIntyre makes an appearance teaming up with John Stubblefield on Barker's composition "Tenor Tantrum". Thurman superbly unleashes the controlled power and inner discipline on the compositions presented here. Originally released in 1999.

- v***a (81)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseReceived the album much earlier than expected delivery date, packing is good and securely protected with bubble wrapped. CD is as described in very good / mint condition for such an old album. It is quite expensive with shipping but it worth every penny for such a hard to find title. I am glad to have it. Seller is also good and responsive, dealing is easy and satisfying. Highly recommended.
