And its slim, compact, pocket-sized body can easily go wherever you do for both everyday snapshots and traveling.When you don't know which mode will give you the best shooting results, or when a sudden photo opportunity pops up and you don't have time to make any settings, simply choose iA (Intelligent Auto) mode by simply pressing the dedicated button and let the camera do it all for you. You just choose iA mode, aim at your subject, and shoot. 4 detection and correction functions are simultaneously activated to optimize the settings, so you get stunning photos every time.The DMC-FH20 can record motion images in high-definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps in motion JPEG format). The pixel mixed readout method enables bright motion-image recording even in low-light settings. The DMC-FH20 can also record full-size motion images in WVGA (848 x 480 pixels at 30 fps) or standard motion images in VGA (640 x 480 pixels at 30 fps) and QVGA (320 x 240 pixels at 30 fps).The energy-saving Venus Engine IV image-processing engine and the efficient, rechargeable lithium-ion battery which has been slimmed down to fit into thinner camera bodies work together to extend the shooting time of the DMC-FH20. I love Lumix cameras. I have 6 or 8.
I have 2 FH20's which are small and have fairly good image quality with 14mp. I also have an FH25 which is similar with 16mp. I would like more zoom but the 8x is ok. MY FAVORITE ALL-TIME CAMERA IS a ZS5 with 12.1 mp and a 12x zoom. I'm on my second. Beautiful pics w great image stabilization. I have a zs40 w 18.1 mp. *Problem is they were never able to improve on the 12.1 mp. (It's a long story) Get a used ZS 5 OR 6 if you can find one or a ZS40 or 50 if you have the money. You will be glad you did. But, less is more here, and the 12.1mp is perfect. Don't spend more for 16 or 18mp; you WILL NOT like the pics better. Absolutely most definitely worth what I paid for it.
I haven't really used this camera a lot yet, but I am impressed with the picture quality. The menu is simple and easy to navigate. It has a lot of features that the average amateur most ;likely would not need or use, but the Intelligent Auto setting seems to do an excellent job of getting the settings right. I have taken pics outdoors, in low light, and closeups, and am well satisfied with the quality in each case.

This camera is perfect for those who want a small, compact, yet high quality camera. It performs excellently in a variety of different situations, and would be good for either a beginner or a pro photographer. It has a good zoom range (28-228mm equivalent), and 14 megapixels is more than enough for everyday usage. Image quality is slightly lower at higher ISOs, due to noise, but that is easily remedied with a variety of basic post processing methods. Good, economical camera
I got this camera because I have been having problems with image stability and close focus capability with my SLR lenses. My initial tests have given me some fairly good results. Panasonic electronics have been a good pick for a long time and Leica optics are hard to beat. Good for the money
Good camera for everyday use and macro photos. The only drawback is the lens that protrudes from the body of the camera creates a shadow on the image due to its location to the flash window.
