Great Classic Space Series From the Past.
The picture quality is definitely upgraded and looks very good from being filmed from years long ago. The sound has also been upgraded, but is not true individual seperatly channel DTS Master Audio, it is 1.0. Still an improvement from the old versions for sure. Lost in Space on Blu ray.
The set is great for any life long fan of the series, like myself. I'm not crazy about the 1:37 screen aspect. I would rather the shows were in widescreen format. Lost in Space on Blu-Ray is Beautiful !!
The Lost in Space Blu-Ray set is phenomenal !! The picture quality is amazing. I own the entire series on dvd from many years ago. I compared the difference between it and the blu-ray, and previous black and white scenes (Season 1)that were very dark with murky details are now crystal clear with sharp details revealing all actual tones of black, white, and grey. The color (Season 2 & 3) is brilliant and pops right out of the screen. There are tons of great extras in this set too which have never been previously released. I recommend buying this version with the special 3D robot packaging because it is more sturdy than the basic version which has a very thin case. IMPORTANT TIP: The discs are in envelope pages and are very difficult to remove. My method was to gently lift envelope edge (spreading it apart carefully) just enough to slide a piece of masking tape far enough in to reach disc. I then pressed down on envelope so masking tape contacted disc. Then, you can easily slide the disc out without tearing the envelope page. Afterwards, just insert the disc back in to the edge only, and you can remove it easier in the future. The masking tape works well for this and doesn't leave any residue on the disc. In conclusion, get this set and enjoy the show at a quality level you've never see before.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent set, but...
The image quality on all that I have watched so far is fantastic, and the extras are really great as well. However, as pretty much everyone else who has reviewed this set has complained about so far, the case is abominable. Opening it up to check conditions, two of the discs were actually stuck to the case where the top and bottom of the pockets are glued together. Fortunately Blu Rays are very durable and just needed to be wiped off, but that is besides the point. It is quite annoying that this case is actually in production and like many others have mentioned, be prepared to buy some new cases for the discs themselves.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The new Blu Ray edition of Lost in Space-The Complete Series has more bang for the buck than most TV collections to date. The film transfers are absolutely pristine and the audio is superb. Whether you enjoy hearing the Robot warn, "Danger Will Robinson!", or seeing Dr. Smith being chased by a giant carrot, there is everything here that a true fan could want. The commentaries are fun and the extras are priceless. A lot of great work went into the making of this set and it will be honored with a prominent spot in my collection. Lost in Space TV Series
I always loved this show as a teenager. I was enamored with space travel, flying saucers, etc. The show's concept was originally great and I loved the Jupiter II and the robot design. The special effects were pretty hokey, even back then. Even though the series eventually went with silly story lines, I still loved watching each episode. The video it self is good and if you like the Lost in Space then is better buying Blu Ray then DVD. It will cost almost the same.
