Its your average bluray player
Don't expect this to be able to play you 4k blurays. It is just 4k upscaling, for the price and if your not playing 4k blurays it's a good player. It has 3d output for you poor souls who were dooped by a flashy sales gimik and purchased a 3d tv. It plays all popular disc and digital formats, supports DTS 2.0+ Digital. This means if your listening via stereo configuration it will downmix the 5/7 channels into 2. But if your listening via surround sound, it outputs the full 5/7 channels as encoded on the disc. I'm not sure what this does to the encoding/decoding tho. I usually use DTS-HD MA straight so take this with a grain of salt if your an audiophile.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Does what I need for now
I had a 1080i bluray. Got this for 4K even though both my tv and my stereo will also upscale 4k video. I wanted to be able to play SACD discs. The player is much smaller than a normal bluray but has all of the same functions. However since it is smaller, it wobbles just a tiny bit because it is lighter than most. Does not affect anything. PLUS I got this for $35. In a year, I may buy a used OPPO but first want to see if I will ever even play a bluray again. 😀Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Wireless does not work
The DVD player I bought was from an "open box". It won't connect to my wireless network. I set it up and it says it can't find my wireless network I ise all over my house.
