I just came from an HTC One (m7) and this device feels much nicer. It has a premium build and outperforms the m7 in many ways. I don't think I'd be as happy if I had come from a newer flagship, but this is definitely a huge upgrade for me. A lot of complaints I had heard, such as poor battery life and poor sound quality seem unfounded. Sound quality and battery life both outperform my previous device and gets me through the day. However, I'm not a power user and I could see how constant gaming would take away battery life quickly.

I purchased this phone to use with straight talk and it works great with the carrier. I has a strong signal most everywhere I go. I found the phone to be fast and stable and while it performs most every task I wish to do with it, the speaker is so quiet (even at max volume) that you can barely even hear it ring when you are right next to it let alone across the room. Forget about trying to have a speakerphone conversation. You can barely hear the other party.

When the HTC One A9 debuted, I was skeptical about the price compared to the specs of the phone. I thought that $400 (introductory price) was a little too steep for what it was. Then the price went up to $500 after the introductory price. I said to myself that it was totally worth it. When I saw this on E-Bay for around $350, I went and bought it. A couple of months of using it, I am really impressed by it. It is a gorgeous phone! Now, let's just get the battery issue out of the way. No, it does not last a full day for power users. It does last a full day for casual phone users. However, the quick charge on it makes up for that seemingly huge flaw. Besides, if they put a huge battery in it, this phone would have been thicker than it is. HTC made a critical call on that and I do like what they ended up with - a leek, stylish, gorgeous phone! This phone exceeds all of my expectations, despite not having premium or flagship specs. Camera is amazing! Sound (through headphones) is great! Screen is beautiful. I haven't encountered any hiccups yet. As a long time user of HTC phones up until the M7, the HTC One A9 is by far my most favorite of them all.Read full review

I switched from a Samsung to this HTC One. I briefly had an Apple I phone and switching from the Samsung to that was very difficult. The HTC is a lot like the Samsung, super easy to use. The battery life on the HTC is amazing!!!! Would not hesitate to buy this phone again.

I wanted to get the HTC one M8 but it's too expensive for me right now, so I went with the M7. This phone is just as great, if not better to me! 32GB of storage space, but that should be more than enough. Battery life is pretty nice, but using your data instead of wifi to watch videos and what not seems to make it drain faster. 2gb of RAM means this phone does not really see any lag or slowdown. I haven't seen any. The only thing I really didn't like was the buttons down below. This phone only has the HOME and BACK buttons as compared to previous HTC phones having a third button for recent apps. But you can double-tap the HOME button to show recent apps, and I've gotten used to it now. Overall, I think this is a great phone, worth the money, and you do not need to upgrade your phone anytime soon if you purchase this!Read full review
