I own several monopods, all of which are too heavy to be much fun to use. I was about to spring for big dollars for a Gitzo when I read about the Sirui. After using it a couple of times, all I can say is forget the Gitzo at 3 times the price. This monopod is extremely light, solidly built, ROCK solid, works smoothly and easily, and is amazingly compact. I have no idea how Sirui can make this monopod at this price, but I love it. I have a wonderful Gitzo 1541T tripod that I really like, but had I not owned that, I'd certainly be looking into Sirui tripods now that I've tried their monopod. If they are built the same as this monopod and priced as reasonably, I'd likely jump on the Sirui. Get one of these monopods. You won't be sorry.

I purchased this product because I need a good strong monopod to take with me when I travel. The monopod is made of carbon fibre making it not only strong but light. It also compacts down to a very manageable. It is not cheap but gives a good performance. The only thing I did not like is the screw on the end is 1/4" to fit on the base of cameras. All my equipment is by Manfrotto and I would have preferred the same size screw as those on the Manfrotto equipment so I could use the accessories I already have. However this is not a minus point because adaptors can be found. There are many similar products available but this was the best I could find that fitted my requirements: Compact, light and strong. Pricewise it was one of the most expensive but I think the features justify spending a little more.Read full review
This is a great monopod for a fraction of what some monopods cost. It's very compact when folded, but can expand to full height. Very happy with it.

This is a very well made carbon monopod that represents a small compact and lightweight monopod for those like myself who travel for their wildlife photography and need to save weight for packing camera gear. I just received this so it remains to be seen if it can be stable enough for a big telephoto like a Canon 600 or 800mm lens but it sure beats handheld. Very impressed with construction and materials.

Its lightweight, stable and over all a very nice product. The attaching band to connect it to your bag, however, is not very well put together. The band ripped at the seem the second day I used it, and if I hadnt heard it fall to the ground it would have been the last day I used the monopod. Considering such a nice product, its a shame they didnt putt more threads in the carrying mechanism. Other than that, absolutely recommended!
