I bought this for my secretay at my office and it IS a damn great value! The packing job was top notch and ingenuitive to the max! My only request is to laeboff the Saran wrap!!! Lol!!! My goodness they wrapped the power cord in it and the put that in cardboard and the wrapped it again and then wrapped it into everything else!Took forever to get thru but was worth it! My only gripe is the hinge I'd loose and the monitor didn't want to stay in place.

I bought this iMac on behalf of my mom, because she needed a new computer and this one was offered at a great price. She and I both love the computer itself, but the keyboard and mouse are not up to par for what we expected from an Apple product. After only 2 days out of the box, the keyboard stopped working and the iMac would not recognize it. New battery, zapping the P-RAM, unplugging for 15 minutes and restarting the computer, turning the keyboard on and off did not help. It still does not recognize the keyboard. The mouse also does not work as it is supposed to, and my mom hates it so much that she has decided to buy a different keyboard and mouse for the new iMac. Her previous computer was the G3 iMac, which worked perfectly right out of the box, with no problems. We are sorely disappointed in the keyboard and mouse for this computer, and hope that Apple will offer a choice of keyboard and mouse or else get these peripherals working right. $1100 is too much money to spend for a computer that must not only have a USB modem bought for it (there is no phone modem included; this should have been mentioned in the product info and wasn't) but must also have a new keyboard and mouse bought within a week of first use. The casing of the iMac also becomes extremely hot after a few minutes of use, which is something Apple should see to, as well, in future models. All in all, it's a nice computer with crappy peripherals.Read full review
I wanted to buy an Apple so I could do without all the viruses found on PCs. I have heard they do not get viruses and for that I am very grateful. I love this computer system because: 1) it is easy to put two web sites side by side to work on them at the same time since the screen is wide. 2) the screen is very clear and sharp 3) it's easy to use, even though I had to transition from a PC -- it's pretty intuitive. Some things I don't like about it are: 1) the keys on the remote keyboard have to be hit in a specific place to activate -- I found I would hit the space key more toward the edge and that didn't work. It's taken me weeks to get used to this. I did set the sensitivity to the highest setting so that wasn't the problem -- I even changed the keyboard. 2) the batteries on the remote mouse only lasted about a month. Replacing them with regular batteries can be expensive. I would highly recommend this product.Read full review
High Sierra is limited on a couple of apps I tried to run, but for what I am using this for, organizing photos and music from drives I’ve had over the years, it is working great.
