This is a really nice motherboard and it has most bios features that performance enthuasts want. Extreme overclockers will miss features like load line calibration and thermal cutoff adjustments. Additionally this motherboard can run hot, but generally stays within the AMD chipset guidelines unless you are overclocking a 125 watt processor to 4.8GHz. Overall, I am pleased with what this motherboard offers and it is a real pleasure to look at and the UEFI bios settings all work well, also it has the best audio quality of any onboard audio I have heard, really clear and no distortion, ever! 4/5.

It's a good motherboard, overclocks nicely with many power options and stable power delivery. I would not recommend if you want to take advantage of SLI or crossfire. A single 2 slot card is fine, but upon trying to ad a second you may find that for the bottom x16 slot wires going to headers on the bottom of the board like USB 3.0 may interfere with your fans, and the slot in the middle is x8 cutting your bandwidth in half and limiting airflow for the top card, granted if you find good single slot cards or liquid cool this isn't an issue.

This mobo is breathing new life into some old hardware I have laying around the house!!! 990fx boards are really the only way to go for the power hungry 8 core fx CPUs.

It is a good board. Everything works as expected except when I tried to update the bios it froze. I have other MSI boards so I know how BIOs updates are supposed to be. Other than that thou it is a good stable board. When I get one that I can update bios I think I will be very happy.

This is a good price. Little extra with shipping. But this board will handle any chip you toss at it. Even the hottest chip on the planet. Being the FX-9590. 220TDP meaning it is HOT needs a water cooler to run that chip and it needs around a 850W power supply. Good and well rated one not some generic one. It will screw up everything. But lots of features. And well made. If you are going to get this you might as well get the FX-9590 chip and water cooler and a 1KW power supply. And watch this puppy run. Although you can get the FX-8370 chip that is basicly the FX-9590 just lower clocked and cooler by design with a TDP of only a 125. AMD took this chip “Binned” the shit out off it and then jacked up the voltage to 220 TDP and made it work with some water cooling. Raised the multiplayer and frequency. But all good this is a beast system Read full review
