Sorry for the delay in leaving feedback, but I wanted to test drive this scoop for awhile. In Florida, we don t have gravel, but we do have sharp coral and mud. It performs well in the ocean and rivers. I ve abused this scoop and it takes a beating... No buckling, warping or dents. I purchased a wooden handle at Home Depot an attached with the enclosed U-bolts. The way the scoop is made allows it to cut through all the mud and coral perfectly! Best long handled scoop I ve use in 25 years! Thanks

The quality of the scoop head is the best on the market. I have looked at over a dozen scoops, but this one checked all the boxes. And when I received it, it did not disappoint. Customer service support was quick and informative. Go ahead, buy one.

    Awesome scoop!

I hunt for shark teeth in rivers here in Florida and needed something more than a shovel. To get to the bigger teeth you have to get into the course gravel and sand to find them. This scoop held up beautifully! I purchased two bigger S/S U-bolts (5/16 nuts) and one S/S carriage bolt (5/16 nut) and attached a post hole handle purchased from a local supply store.I was fearful that I would overpower the scoop. No such thing! The point on the scoop allowed me to get through the gravel so much easier. Mind you that I'm standing in waist deep water with my foot on the back of the scoop wiggling it back and forth (while holding onto the handle) to get it into the gravel so I can get enough material to dump onto a floating sifter. I hunt for Megaladons, Makos and other fossils, I could buy ...

  • Great scoop, great price

I don't do enough beach hunting to validate purchasing a huge high end scoop for $300-$400. A friend who does hunt all the time and has the other scoops recommended this one and I'm glad he did. Lightweight, strong, deep, great scoop.

  • Great scoop

Worked great on small rocks, pebbles and sand, easy to step on the back with a good angle going down.

  • good product but time will tell

ok but welds are not complete on support bars. Attached easily to fiberglass pole that helps with the weight. overall digs into sand very well.
