I bought this camera as a replacement to my previous sport camera (not mentioning brands). First thing: it does a great job in the Auto mode. It only use the flash when extremely necessary. You will get clear and bright pictures in this mode. Great pictures at indoors and night. If you want the same quality, but more sensitive to the flash, just change to "P" (program mode) and that's it. The WiFi feature is awesome once you download the App. You can do a lot of things with the camera and pictures with this App. The WiFi only works with the App. It creates it owns network where you connect your Smartphone or Tablet to manage pictures or movies. For me, this is the most attractive feature in this camera. The Panorama mode is easy to use. The Movie feature is also excellent. It has stereo mics!! The lens is really Wide. My previous camera was 28mm and this one is 21mm. For me, that's a lot of wide angle. This camera needs a medium size bag with at least 5 inches long of interior space. The "flip" screen is an eye catching feature. Really useful. The camera detects if you take pictures with the camera up-side-down and it correctly rotates them for you automatically. In Auto mode the time needed between pictures is below a second. Probably because you may not have the waiting time from the flash to charge. It has two tripod ports but the one for the camera be horizontal is located under the battery compartment at a side and not in the center. I believe this is to compensate the weight providing balance while on a tripod. The other port is on a side so you can place the camera in a vertical position. Haven't use yet the GPS but on schedule. Battery last enough for a day of adventure. If no flash is needed, could last over two+ days of extreme use. I bought an external battery charger which also included an additional battery so I'm not concern about battery performance. A fully drain battery could take up to 4 hours to a full charge. Average size of a full quality picture is about 2.8mb and sometimes less. With an empty 16gb SD card, you can store an average of 2298 pictures or 56:05min of video (according to the camera's screen). I'm happy with my purchase. At this moment, I have no negative statements about this camera. Erwin Yauco, PRRead full review

Nice features for selfies like screen flipping and front button, wifi for sharing images, remote controlling via phone app and GPS management app. Not happy with image definition. Previous model offered sharper images.

I already own an Olympus digital camera and use it on a daily basis. So when I was looking for a waterproof camera - I went to another Olympus. I love nearly everything about this camera. I'll get the con out of the way. The zoom isn't as good as my other Olympus. But the zoom is REALLY good on my Olympus so it's probably not a fair comparison. But if you are getting this solely to zoom in on things - it will not do that. Now with the pros...My favorite feature of this camera would be that it's completely waterproof! We do a lot of river activities and it is VERY nice to take it down there and take pictures and videos with ease! My second favorite feature is the screen that comes up and shows you how the selfie is going to look! This is a VERY COOL feature!! I like that the recording is easy to do - you don't have to switch any buttons - just push the record button. I was expecting the battery door to be horribly hard to open, based on other reviews, but really - it's pretty easy to figure out. I'm VERY happy with this camera and would definitely recommend.Read full review

I haven't taken it in the water yet but have taken some really nice photos. I took videos of family at an Open Mike Night and they turned out well. It is easy to use. My only problem s that if I try a 64 g memory card my old XP computer won't read it, but my Windows 7 lap top will. So since I keep all my photos on an external drive connected to my XP desk top I only use 32 g memory cards in the camera for now. The XP desk top works fine on 64 g cards used in my Canon XS400 so it is something about the Olympus.

We bought this camera for snorkeling in the Bahamas. The quality of the stills and videos is incredible...much better than I expected. We were able to get great video of my daughter snorkeling with sea turtles and giant rays...touching a sea turtle. Several sharks, etc...no leaks at all...we didn't dive further than 20 feet, but it was completely dry inside the battery and sd compartment. I recommend this camera to anyone for any reason...great camera!
