Original Equipment (branded by the manufacturer) can run hundreds of dollars each. A full set of color cartridges can run $1,000 or more from one of the big box office supply stores. Buy reloaded or refurbished cartridges like this one and save hundreds of dollars. This cartridge is a great value and works just like the original ones. In fact, most of the time, my HP printer says "Original HP supplies loaded" once I install a refurbished cartridge, so not even the printer itself can tell the difference!

Bought this one to even out my color/black usage. The previous colors arrived in OEM boxes. This arrived in a sealed bag with no box so I don't really know if I got the right thing, whether it's OEM or what as I'm not ready to use it yet. I'd rather not open it and expose to air until I'm ready to use it.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to receive this in the mail. It is not every day you find an overpriced (retail) toner cartridge waiting for you at the front desk when you come into work. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Exactly. No more, no less.I have had my HP3800dtn printer (refurbished) for about 2 years. I bought it on Ebay. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. The benefit of double sided printing (much like a 4 wheel drive BMW) is far outweighed by the incessant curling of EVERY SINGLE PAGE I PRINT. Anyway. I will not buy refurbished cartridges. I will not. No amount of blunt argument, contradiction, nor logical reasoning will convince me to. Let that thought go and finish reading what I have written here. This cartridge, like all the others I am forced to purchase from the megalopoly of Hewlett Packard, is an HP OEM unit full of toner. Toner that finds its way to my green tile carpet in small amounts during each cartridge EVENT in my office. I have an office within an office so I am usually protected by a closed door from exposing my fellow office mates to the subtle yet devastating reoccurrence of toner spillage. The instructions say gently shake from side to side. They might as well say carefully slither into your hazmat suit to avoid the office version of stripper sparkle on your shoes and pants. That would actually be a lot more practical and helpful. But I digress. This product (provided it comes sealed with that stupid hologram sticker) takes care of business. I need stuff printed ASAP for my job and this does the trick. When you want stuff printed on your HP 3600 and 3800 series in black, this cartridge is the answer. Period. I must admit, I have not taken the time to check the page count after each black cartridge. For all I know, HP is giving me an extra five hundred pages or screwing me for a thousand. If your job entails that type of detailed accounting, get a high amount of life insurance as soon as you can. Superb BLACK toner quality for the HP ColorJet 3600. I purchased this toner with the printer 3 years ago and its still going strong. I have a small business and use it all the time. The cost of this definately outweighs any inkjet cartridge forever. Its a great product that definately lasts 10,000 pages to print. You'll be glad you decided to purchase this as it is a great buy and very efficient. I decided to purchase this online as it is difficult to find in retail office supply stores such as Office Max and Office Depot. Even there it will be overpriced as it is a specialty item. Highly recommended!
