    Great little NG bogies

    Beautiful little kits that are easy to assemble in just a minute or two. They produce superb narrow gauge coach bogies that are ideal for scratch build projects as well as repair jobs or replacements for old whitemetal examples. They are highly prototypical, nicely detailed and very free-running.

    In most cases fit for purpose...

    Basic, but rather crude detailing make these bogies less than exciting, especially when compared to similar bogies from US-manufacturers. In a lot of application the lack of detail is not really a concern as the bogies are hardly visible underneath the waggon body; yes these are bogies for goods stock only. The engraving is crisp, and the parts go together well, but require attention with a file/ knife to remove flash. For good performance you want to fit brass bearing cups during assembly (not included, but easier to fit at this stage) as the polystyrene used is not a suitable material (other manufacturers use Delrin/ Nylon which has vastly superior qualities) . Even though easy to design in, Peco forgot to facilitate compensation, which requires these bogies to be carefully mounted as ...

    009 scale model railway set of 2x two-axle bogies.

    Clever and adaptable clip-together design in injection-molded plastic. Comes with clip-in plastic wheelsets which could be replaced with metal if required. Bogies are free-running with good couplers. Good price point.
